Right of privacy

Norsk Gallup is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kantar. Norsk Gallup is responsible for data collection for Kantar. Kantar is Norway's largest provider of analysis-based consultancy and provides advisory services to both public and private companies. The results of our surveys form the basis of important decisions for our customers. The information we collect is processed statistically and anonymously before reporting. We treat all information confidentially.
Applicable laws and regulations

Our business is dependent on a good reputation and high standing in all sections of society. Our task is to provide a correct picture of the population's opinions, attitudes and behaviour. To be able to achieve this, it is important that as many of the people we ask as possible want to take part in our surveys. Taking part in surveys gives you the opportunity to express your views and influence the development of products and services. You will always be anonymous to our clients, unless expressly agreed with you otherwise.

We comply with the laws, guidelines, and industry standards that apply to our business so that the public can be confident that we are looking after their confidentiality, anonymity and privacy requirements. Among other things, this includes the Personal Information Act and the guidelines of the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, as well as the ethics and industry standards of Esomar and Norway's Market Research Association. In addition, Kantar is quality-certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 20252 by Det Norske Veritas.

Your answers are only used for statistical analysis.

Norsk Gallup collects data for market analysis, polls and other types of statistical surveys. The information you provide us is not used for any kind of marketing or sales aimed at you. Our customers only access information that is statistically processed so that it is not possible to see how each individual has responded.

We treat your responses confidentially

We treat your responses confidentially. Once the survey is complete, your answers will not be saved with your contact information.

By participating in our surveys, you agree that the information you provide can be stored and used for market research purposes. The data collected is used for statistical analysis and the information we provide to our clients is anonymised so that individuals cannot be identified.

Occasionally it may be desirable to provide data in a manner that makes it possible to identify individuals. In these cases, we will specifically ask you for permission in advance.

In some surveys you may be asked to provide personal information that makes it possible to identify you, such as name, phone number or email address. This can happen if we need to contact you, for example in connection with prize draws or if the survey requires that we contact you later. When we request these details, we will provide clear information about the reasons why and we will ask for your permission to use this information.

Deletion of personal data

Kantar and Norsk Gallup have separate procedures for anonymising and deleting personal data. Deletion of personal data is automated.

You have the right to access the information we have stored about you.

You have the right to see the personal information we have registered about you and you will be given access if you request. If the information is inaccurate, incomplete or irrelevant, you are entitled to request that the information be changed or deleted. For inquiries, we may require proof of identification to protect against improper disclosure of personal data.

Voluntary participation

Participation in our surveys is voluntary, and you can cancel a survey at any time if you wish.

We understand and respect that there may be some questions you do not want to answer. You can always choose not to answer single questions by selecting "rather not say" or an equivalent option.
